Now welcoming new clients no referral needed

Some children and teens carry big feelings quietly that are not easy to see. They might be wondering where they fit, feeling overwhelmed by changes in friendships or family life, or simply needing space to breathe and be themselves.
I offer support for young people who need a moment, one that feels safe, relaxed, and free from pressure. A space where they can talk things through, feel heard, and start to make sense of what’s going on.
We might chat online, walk side-by-side, or even sit together on the grass in a quiet park. Whatever feels most comfortable, we’ll find a way that suits them.
In our time together, as we settle into sessions, we explore:
There’s no right way to show up. We go at their pace, in a way that feels natural and supportive.
No pressure. No rush. Just a moment to talk things through, feel supported, and explore what’s going on.
Whether it’s online, walking side-by-side, or sitting in a quiet park—we’ll find what feels right.
I am here to support your child or teen in reconnecting with themselves and feeling more steady in their day‑to‑day life. Working together often feels like:
Many young people I meet share a sense of exhaustion, worry, or feeling unsure of where they fit. This is a space where they can slow down, feel understood, and learn more about themselves with someone who listens without judgment.
If you’d like to understand how privacy works in counselling for children and teens, I’ve created a simple How Privacy Works in Your Child’s Counselling Guide that explains it clearly.
For many children and teens, talking openly can feel hard. Even the kindest adults in their life, whether family, teachers, or coaches, can carry hopes or expectations that make it tricky to say what is really going on. Young people often worry about being judged, misunderstood, or watched too closely.
When they come to me, they step into a space that is separate from all of that. I’m not part of their everyday world, and I don’t bring any assumptions or history. What I offer is calm, steady support and a genuine interest in how things feel for them.
They don’t need to perform, explain, or be anyone but themselves. Whether they are quiet, unsure, overwhelmed, or simply trying to figure things out, I’m here to listen, reflect, and help them feel a little more understood.

This free short call gives you a chance to get a feel for who I am and how I work. You can share a little about what’s been happening for your young person, ask any questions, and see whether counselling with me feels like a good fit for them.
There’s no pressure to book a session. It’s simply a space to talk things through, get some clarity, and decide what you would like to do next.

Online sessions allow the flexibility to access support from wherever they feel most comfortable, at home after a busy day, or anywhere they have privacy.
This option works well if travel is tricky, if a parent is juggling family or work commitments, or if they just prefer connecting through a screen. The support is the same; the format just gives you more freedom to fit counselling into their life.

If they prefer to meet in person, I offer sessions in a calm, private room in Sorell on a Friday only. This space is set up to help them feel settled and supported as we explore what’s been weighing on them.
In‑room sessions can be helpful if they like having a consistent place to come to, or if they find it easier to talk when they're physically in the same space as your counsellor.

A relaxed outdoor session where your child or teen can talk while moving. We walk, pause, or sit in nature, following what feels comfortable. Support might include big feelings, friendship changes, school stress, or simply needing someone to listen. Before starting, we have a short parent or caregiver call to talk through safety and consent.
Some young people find it easier to talk while moving, being outdoors, rather than sitting face‑to‑face in a room.
Walk & Talk sessions give them the option to be in nature while we work through whatever they’re carrying. We can walk, sit, or change pace as needed. There is no expectation to keep up a certain speed.
These sessions can feel more natural and less formal, while still offering the same level of support and care.
I’m a registered counsellor with lived experience and a deep respect for the emotional journeys we each carry.
These badges reflect my community connections and ongoing commitment to professional learning so I can offer support that is safe, kind, professional and up to date.
